FIND Mexico: Part One

December 13, 2012

For those of you who do not know what FIND is, allow me to explain.. FIND (Film Is Not Dead) is a photography workshop, hosted by the incredibly talented Jonathan Canlas, for filmies like me :) I want to share a bit about my experience at this workshop. To give you a bit of background about me and workshops, I have a rule that I will not attend a photography workshop unless I know I am going to learn something. FIND is one of those workshops where I KNEW I was going to learn and improve my skills as a film photographer....

Outer Banks, NC

October 3, 2012

Last year I took a vacation with 7 amazing women (most of whom I did not know ahead of time) to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I saw so many new sights and experienced some remarkable moments. I don't always remember to take pictures for myself, but being around all these talented and intelligent women inspired me to pull out my camera and start shooting.

Seattle

August 28, 2012

A few weeks ago I flew out to my hometown of Seattle to photograph Becky and Adam's Bainbridge Island wedding. While I was there I spent an afternoon walking around some of my old stomping grounds. I cannot even begin to explain how much I love this city (especially when the sun is shining) and how much I miss living there. I have so many fond memories of the early 90's music scene, watching bands play in Pioneer Square before they became famous, spending the day with my friends at the public market and sipping coffee in Queen Ann while the rain hit the pavement outside. Seattle will always have a special place in my heart and I am so grateful for the opportunity to visit my home once again.
