Through out the year I get to experience wonderful and amazing moments in other people’s lives. I love that this is what I get to do for a living :)

Lately I have started to think about how I developed this passion for photography. It might have been come from my dad, who was always taking pictures of us kids when we were growing up, or maybe it was my mom who is an artist/entrepreneur herself. Either way I think I have my parents to thank for this wonderful career that I have built for myself. I am grateful to have such encouraging parents and such a wonderful and supportive husband.

As I look through my new blog, I find myself wondering what I might be able to add that will bring in a little more me into the mix. I realized that I don’t really post very many personal images, so I thought I would share a little insight into who I am and the people/things that I love.

I hope you enjoy these images, and if you like them, I will post some more!

I love tea, especially on a cloudy day in the afternoon…

This is JoJo, she is Great Dane. She is 9 years old and we have had her since she was 6 months old. I love Great Danes so much, she is our 3rd!

I am really drawn to doors and windows…there is something about them that I really love. I have a lot of pictures of them in my house.

This is my husband Wally with my nephew, Haiden. Aren’t they cute?

This is Rose Tea. I love to smell it but I don’t like to drink it. It’s like drinking potpourri.

I also love taking pictures of cacti. If I could find an old cactus in an old window sill I would take pictures of it all day long. I have a lot of cacti in my house!

And this is just an odd piece of fruit that we found while in California last year :) Anyone ever have one of these? I am not sure how you would even eat this.

What do you like to photograph? Share your stories with me :)

I love to photograph flowers, light, and old pretty things for still life. My most favorite thing to photograph is my sons beautiful smile!

  4. I think its the simple things in your everyday life that make the most beautiful images. My friend Amy once gave me a book called “A Year of Mornings”, it is a story about 2 friends who live miles apart, took images every morning a year. I often find myself flipping through the pages of this book and I get so inspired by the image they took. Thank you for sharing ladies!
